EXCERPT: To compete, marketing firms have had to specialize. And so, the natural split in services has formed between strategy firms and tactical agencies. Strong tactical (creative) firms who say they can do it all, too often give lip service to strategy; Strong strategy firms who say they can do it all, too often give lip service to creative. (In the construction industry, this split occurs between Architects and Builders.)
